Agra is among the most-visited places in India and for good reason – it is home to the awe-inspiring testament to love, the Taj Mahal. As it was once the center of Mughal rule, Agra has many historical places of interest including the Agra Fort, Itimad-Ud-Daulah Tomb and Mehtab Bagh. The city has three world heritage sites which include Agra Fort, Fatehpur Sikri, and the quite predictable, Taj Mahal.Apart from heritage tourism, Agra is also famous for its vibrant markets and petha, an Indian sweet made up of ash gourd, for which the historical city is famous.


In addition to its historical significance, Agra is also home to number of small-scale industries of paper, leather, etc.
